The Town Hall looks to create a new urban sports facility

Estepona Council has put out to tender the drafting of the project and the construction of a sports facility for the practice of urban sports such as skateboarding, rollerblading, scooter and BMX riding.

This action will consist of adapting the current dirt BMX circuit into a sports facility with a concrete surface that will expand its versatility for use in a greater number of sporting disciplines related to skating and cycling.

The aim of this adaptation is to expand the versatility of this space in to comply with the requirements of bodies such as the Royal Spanish Skating Federation, covering skateboarding, rollerblading, freestyle, scooter, inline freestyle, etc; in addition to activities related to the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation such as BMX.

This new facility joins the thirty free sports areas that the Council has built in various parts of the town, taking advantage of plots that were in disuse.
